Mikko Laamanen is Research Professor with the Technology and Sustainability research group at Consumer Research Norway (SIFO), Oslo Metropolitan University. He received his doctorate from Hanken School of Economics (Finland) and has held academic positions in Finland, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. Mikko is an expert in the everyday politics of technology, inclusion and social change. His research has, amongst others, investigated sustainable consumption and production (SDG12) in alternative economy communities as well as the performing arts. Since 2019, Mikko is the co-coordinator for the Sociology of Consumption research network of the European Sociological Association.
